Published in 1952, Tropical Gardening is written by Mabel Dorn, former  Founder and President of the South Florida Garden Club.  In this 5x8 spiral bound 126 page book, Dorn writes about her experiences in starting a garden west of Miami-- when South Florida was relatively undeveloped. The book includes verses by Marjory Stoneman Douglas. The foreword is written by the legendary botantist David Fairchild (who the book is dedicated to).   A must have for any gardening enthusiast and lover of Florida history!
